Those associated with Doxa Italia will be familiar with our famous “Yellow Jersey”, well we are proud to unveil our latest top to be worn by the weekends worst standout performer! Each week, the t-shirt will be passed to a player who either missed a 5-yard gimmey, produced the best own-goal finish of the season or someone who manages to take the most obvious foul throw of all-time. It varies by week of course and thankfully senior players have a much higher weighted vote!
Thanks to Richie Million for breaking it in and modelling last night – he received the jersey for getting nut-megged two consecutive weeks.
Shout out to the he t-shirt was creator and Doxa midfielder, Vardan Adzemian, who owns Vadeal Print, check out his site if you are looking for affordable garment printing solutions on any budget!
It seems where ever Doxa Italia players show up, they show up in style!
Take for example, tonight’s Angels vs White Sox game, where the record was set for most people wearing a costume mask in one place at one time…..Locky, Ricky, Toohey and Bryan Tyler, take a bow!
Doxa’s veteran goalkeeper Brian Burdue was in fine form on Saturday night, after the game versus So-Cal Real, as the team celebrated his birthday at Grunions! Burdue, who is currently on the Retirement Sucks Tour 2008 2009 2010, has already signed a one year extension to his current contract.
Quote “He is unflappable and plays the game at his own pace”, I really couldn’t have said it better myself! If anyone is interested in sponsoring Craig for the season, please let us know!
Andrew Villalobos is one of the ‘newbies’ to the team, but that didn’t stop him from getting the yellow jersey this week. He was rewarded for two missed penalties in two games (although he wasn’t the only one who missed). He did take a step in the right direction tonight though, by drilling a PK into the bottom left corner!
