International Cup of Iran

This weekend (Sept 4th-6th), Doxa will play in the International Cup of Iran played at Cal State Fullerton.

Doxa were defeated on penalties in last seasons final and will be looking to go one better this year. The tournament itself is seen as an ideal opportunity for the team to get some much needed season before the start of the new CSL league campaign. A strong 22 man squad has been selected for the tournament.

Doxa’s group consists of So Cal Juventus, NK Los Angeles & The Crew. The 3 league games will take place on Saturday and Sunday morning, with the quarter final on Sunday afternoon. Monday will then see the semi final and final game.

Game 2: 4:10pm on Saturday 9/4 W 2-0 (Droze, Davis)
Game 3: 12:40pm on Sunday 9/5 W 1-0 (Taylor)
1/4 Finals: 3pm on Sunday 9/5 W 4-2 (Koubourus, Droze (2), Yuki)
Semi Final: 9am Monday 9/6 W 2-0 (Koubourus, Droze)
Final: 12:45pm Monday 9/6 D 0-0 (Doxa Lose on Penalties 5-4)
